Description: Frederick Grafelmann's Empire Hotel - Two buildings - Grafelmann built the taller building at left. The small building is on the site of the site of current 66-52 Metropolitan Ave. (west of Myrtle Ave. elevated terminal), and was Grafelmann's Grocery (the hotel was the taller building). Wagon sheds are to the right. In 1922 the small building had "J.G. Wackenhut Florist" sign, the shop window at the florists says "Lois & Graves...” a gasoline pump is in the front.
