Description: Columbia Park Hotel - Peter Becker’s Columbia Park Hotel at the NW corner of Metropolitan Ave. and 80th St. (Formerly Dry Harbor Road), viewed from the south side of Metropolitan Ave. The Cosius Family acquired the lots on the NW corner of this intersection and built a saloon and dance hall on the site which became known as Columbia Park, they operated the facility until about 1890. It became a hotel when the Raines Law went it effect. In May, 1900 Peter Becker became the proprietor. [Copy of print stamped "Historical Survey of Long Island - Collection of Vincent F. Seyfried."]
