Description: Brugel's Corner - On the east side of Weirfield Street at the LIRR crossing (Old Manhattan Beach RR), between Wyckoff Ave. and Irving Ave. John F. Brugel operated the saloon and hotel at the turn of the century at Old No. 24 Weirfield St. and built the adjacent tenement. Address now 376 and 378 Weirfield St. It was in Newtown, Queens Co., but the county line change in the 1920's gave this territory to Brooklyn.
