The property was purchased in 1688 by Abraham Rycken who owned the adjacent farm, in 1717 his son built the small house which was part of this house that was owned by Jakobus Riker during the Revolutionary War; John L Riker in 1852, 1860; John L. Riker Estate in 1873, 1891; the house was destroyed by arson April 1938. May 1923
