Description: First Congregational Church, here showing the old building, which was demolished to make way for the Cross Bay Bridge parking plaza. Today, it’s the site of the Doughboy Monument on Rockaway Beach Boulevard. The church is in the Holland section of Rockaway Beach and was founded in 1886, by Fannie Holland and a group of congregants; it is the oldest house of worship on the Rockaway peninsula.; Address, postmark, stamp and inscription on verso.
