Description: William C. Buhrman's store at Alley Pond. April 29, 1894. Believed to be built shortly after 1800 by Benjamin Lowerre; Alley Post Office opened here in 1821; William C. Buhrman (a son-in-law) bought the store, mill and house in Feb. 1859; Buhrman died in 1898 and his two sons (William W. and Frederick) continued the business.
