Description: John Bowne Hyatt House - Located on the south side of Maurice Avenue (old Calamus Rd.) between 65th Place (65th Pl. was formerly Hyatt Ave.) and 66th Street. The homestead was built by J.B. Hyatt (b. 1800) whom married Anna Burroughs, daughter of Thomas Burroughs & Sarah Wyckoff of Flatlands, and lived here 1852, 1860; the house went to Thomas Burroughs Hyatt (Son of John B.), 1873, 1891, 1896.
