Description: Alburtis House - View of east gable end of the Alburtis House on south side of Borden Avenue (aka Newtown Ave., now under Queens Midtown Expressway) east of 50th Street; Alburtis House at left, at right old shingled house that originally stood on the north side of Borden Avenue in cemetery grounds. The Alburtis Family owned the house at left ca. 1682 - 1830, the Pebbles Family owned both houses 1852, and 1860. Calvary Cemetery owned all the houses in 1923, and in 1927 the Alburtis house was razed, by the 1950’s the yard was used for Third Calvary Cemetery maintenance buildings.
