Documents from the Joseph H. Van Mater, Jr. Miscellaneous Real Estate Deeds: Box 183h, Folder 1: Various Deeds

Detail

Date1850-1859DescriptionNo biographical information regarding Mr. Van Mater has been located. According to information found on some of the documents, he was a farmer residing in the village of Maspeth in the town of Newtown.
This is an extremely small collection consisting of only a dozen documents, virtually all of them real estate deeds. These deeds are with several different individuals, though the name Edward Wilford occurs most frequently. Evidently, the land referred to is always noted as being in Maspeth, and it is quite possible that essentially, the various deeds or related documents may refer to the same piece of land. Documents are dated primarily in the l850s.CollectorVan Mater, Joseph H., Jr.LocationMaspeth, Queens, NYGeographic coverageMaspeth (New York, N.Y.)Queens (New York, N.Y.)Geographic coordinates^[1]SubjectVan Mater, Joseph H., Jr.Identifierv005-0183-001TypedeedsPhysical description12 documentsRights statementContact digitalarchives@queenslibrary.org for research and reproduction requests.
