Description: Interview conducted on August 2nd, 1980 with married couple Beatrice and George Epstein, who recall their experience at the 1939 New York World's Fair. They touch on RCA's television exhibit, the nightly firework show, Billy Rose's Aquacade, and the artificial voice machine at the A.T.&T. Pavilion. They briefly compare the 1939 Fair to the 1964 Fair. Transcript from oral histories conducted under the direction of Warren Susman in conjunction with the "Dawn of A New Day" exhibition at the Queens Museum of Art in 1980. Some transcripts may be incomplete or may not follow the interview verbatim.
