Description: Interview conducted on August 20 with John Dennis, who was 23 years old during the 1939-1940 New York World's Fair. He recalls his favorite pavilions, mementos that he obtained, being impressed by televisions and A.T.&T.'s long distance telephone exhibit, and viewing the fairgrounds from a tour plane at Floyd Bennett Field. Transcript from oral histories conducted under the direction of Warren Susman in conjunction with the "Dawn of A New Day" exhibition at the Queens Museum of Art in 1980. Some transcripts may be incomplete or may not follow the interview verbatim.
