This was one of the first roller coasters and was built by LaMarcus Adna Thompson who brought it to the Rockaways for what became the L.A. Thompson Amusement Park (next to George C. Tilyou's Steeplechase Park), which became Rockaways' Playland in 1928.; Address, postmark, stamp and inscription on verso. Text addressed to Mr. Wm. Francis, reads: Having a fine time, Mary
