Description: Originally a small wooden building facing Flushing Avenue (now Parsons Boulevard), in 1894 the church building was enlarged and moved to face Shelton Avenue (now 89th Avenue) as seen in this photograph. Also known as St. Mary's German Catholic Church, it was officially dedicated under the title "Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary" in September of 1886. A nearly identical view can be seen in records wjm-000061 and wjm-000062.
