Description: This view looking west along the south side of Atlantic Avenue shows the front of the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company store on the corner of 78th Street. Also at left, on Atlantic Avenue, is a Federated Food store, where displays of canned goods are piled outside, and a cart sits near the edge of the sidewalk. On the right, a wooden picket fence separates the roadway from the Long Island Rail Road tracks, which are no longer in existence.
