Description: Seen here in 1910 housing R.L. Moore's grocery store and the Blue Point U.S. Post Office, this building was built in 1891 and was the heart of Blue Point's business district around the turn of the century. At that time, it housed a general store, a post office, and, in 1902, a telephone central. An assembly hall on the second floor was used for community meetings and socials. The first fire-fighting equipment in Blue Point was housed beneath the bell tower (at that time, an open structure.) The building still stands and presently houses a delicatessen.
