Description: A small group of men, some in uniform, stand to the right of a fallen crane, identified in notes accompanying the photograph as "Crane #173, wrecked at Queens Boulevard trestle". Although the photograph is dated 1928, it may have actually been taken in September of 1927. On September 2, 1927, a crane operator was killed when the traveling crane he was operating, on the Long Island Rail Road viaduct over Queens Boulevard in Elmhurst, fell to the street
