Description: An exterior view of the Independent Subway's World's Fair station. The United States flag, the New York State flag, and one other fly at left. The mural on the wall of the building includes the words "democracy" and "peace."The IND World's Fair Line, officially the World's Fair Railroad, was a branch of the Independent Subway System serving the 1939 New York World's Fair in Queens. It was closed and demolished in the years after the Fair.
