Description: "It wasn't so pretty," Gail Gordon said. AIDS in the 1980's was a disaster in Queens. She had gay friends, so she joined the AIDS center to help them out. Gail's friends were frightened. However as time passed, more AIDS organizations were opening up around all the boroughs to support the ones in need.
