Description: People from the Caribbean started moving into Queens Village, and the neighborhood started to change with different ethnicities. Ralph’s father had a bumper sticker on the back of the car saying “Queens Fair Housing”; because there were only certain places black people could rent and own property. At the time there were only two black families living on the block, and his was one of them. Everyone got along, everyone played sports.
