Description: Ms. Hong remarks that New York has many immigrant groups that compete to bring their traditions and cultural events to the city. In the past Korean Americans in Queens would celebrate the large Korean holidays by renting out the old Shea Stadium parking lot. During the first week of October, the Korean Daily Ilbo (newspaper) holds a large Korean festival in Midtown Manhattan. Recorded in Korean.
