Description: Olga Oukacine is Dominican and came to NYC in 1974. She lived in Corona then moved to Astoria seven years ago (around 2004). She talks about how the RAICES senior center in Astoria receives up to 80 people a day; some are in their nineties. The center organizes activities, and what participants enjoy most is dancing. Many, when they first come, are depressed, but the center has a friendly atmosphere that helps them feel better. She started working at RAICES branch in Corona as a volunteer and is now Program Director at the Astoria branch.
