Description: Extensive interview with Brooklyn siblings Lillian Deakman, James Murray, and Dorothy Murray, who attended the 1939 New York World's Fair as teenagers. They recall their favorite pavilions, the variety of foods offered, their impressions of new technologies such as television and air conditioning, and the risque aspects of the Amusement Area. Transcript from oral histories conducted under the direction of Warren Susman in conjunction with the "Dawn of A New Day" exhibition at the Queens Museum of Art in 1980.
