Description: Jacob Persoff recalls attending the 1939-1940 New York World's Fair as a young man, including courting his wife, refusing to enter the Italian Pavilion because of the war in Europe, and being impressed by the sculpture of King Jagiello in front of the Polish Pavilion. Transcript dated September 14th; part of an oral history project under the direction of Warren Susman in 1980. Some transcripts may be incomplete or may not follow the interview verbatim.
