Description: Evi Igaluer and Lotte Reinhold are sisters who came to the United States as German holocaust survivors when they were children. They grew up in Middletown, NY and moved to Queens as young adults. In Middletown they were looked down upon by the eastern European Jews and Christians living there. Evi and Lotte worked hard to achieve a successful life in Queens. They settled in Rego Park, and like it because it is safe, convenient and friendly. They observed many changes in Queens and they noted how Queens is becoming more diverse.
