Description: Site of the Wissner House - Wissner was a Tin Merchant. This side is on the south side of Maspeth Avenue west of Furman House (which was between 55th St. - 56th St.). There were three houses adjoining each other about 100 feet apart, the nearest to Maspeth Avenue was Mrs. Maurice (Old Maurice Homestead); the second was Wissner; and the third was Furman Mansion(?).
