Description: Calvary Cemetery - Steel Engraving of Old Calvary Cemetery (aka First Calvary Cemetery). Flushing Railroad in the foreground, the broad road at right is the Newtown & Bushwick Turnpike, later replaced by Laurel Hill Boulevard. The private Alsop Family Burial Ground is in the lower field just left of the turnpike, the white building at the bottom, just right of center, is the Toll House. Part of Cemetery was located in the new Long Island City Effective 1870.
