Description: Charles G. Covert House - (aka Underhill House) The house was located south of Borden Avenue, across from the line of 55th Ave. on the west side of 58th Street (former Betts Ave., former Covert Ave.) 300 feet back from the road. John Denman settled here ca. 1660, one old barn on the farm was said to have been Denman’s House; in later years (ca. 1901) Matt Kopp, a horse doctor, occupied the house. This photo shows barn, farm, and grazing horse.
