Description: The Burroughs House - Located on the NE corner of Corona Avenue and 102nd Street. John Burroughs and family settled in Newtown ca. 1640, where he was the town clerk. Descendent George W. Burroughs died here in 1891 and his daughter, Mrs. Isaac L. Moe was the last owner of the property, which was torn down in 1930. In this photo, taken on June 7, 1927, a “for sale” sign is on the house.
