Description: Coe's House (aka Titus Coe's Mill) - West side of Old Mill Rd. (Now Colonial Ave.) facing Mill Creek between Van Doren St. and Waldron St. (covered by the Long Island Expressway interchange today), it was built around 1655. The Coe family had it and the mill for over a century, then David Titus. Daniel Rapelye owned it in 1812 (B.1792, Son of Major Rapelye of New Lots), and still lived here and operated the mill in 1852. The Carll family had it in the late 1850's-60's, and then Cipperley 1870 -1910. The mill burned in 1875, and the house was gone by September 1930. [Copy of old photo, 1905]
