Covert House - (aka Underhill House) It was located about 1/4 of a mile south of Borden Avenue, on the west side of 58th Street (former Betts Ave., former Covert Ave.) 300 feet back from the road, about halfway between Borden Avenue and Maspeth Avenue. Occupied for a time by Matt Kopp, a horse doctor; the house was owned by U. Covert 1852, 1860; Chas. G. Covert 1873; H. Covert 1891; Whitney ca. 1900; Watson occupant since 1902.
