Description: Daniel Rapelye House - The house abandoned and empty in 1925, "Baby Ruth" signs and posters are plastered on the building. The shingled house was on the south side of Poor Bowery Road, north of Northern Blvd. at about 89th Street (former 32nd St.), now the SE corner 32nd Avenue and 89th Street. Daniel Rapelye (Rapalje) b. 1699 on Flushing Bay Farm settled here in 1752 on a farm owned by Dow Ditmars Rapelye and d. 1776; 1852 David D. Rapelye (Rapalje); owned 1891 by D. Rapelye Estate, H. Gebhardt occupied 1896, and Witte occupied later. The house was gone by May 1926.
