Description: New Vanderveer House - Vanderveer Barns - Partly shingled red barns on, adjacent to the line of current 73rd Ave. west of Trotting Course Lane (Woodhaven Blvd.) near the SW corner of Metropolitan Ave. and Trotting Course Lane. Henry Suydam Vanderveer built the house 1850 on the south side of Metropolitan Ave. at about 70th Ave. The house was moved to this site in 1880, and the barns were probably erected around the same time. Photo taken April 1923.
