Description: Richard Betts House - Original artwork in graphite and gouache. The house was built ca. 1656 by Captain Richard Betts; it stood near NE corner of Betts Avenue (58th Street) and Old Newtown Road (aka Penny Bridge Road, aka Old Road to Maspeth, aka Borden Avenue). It was later owned by J. M. Hanson 1852; Mrs. J. Hansen 1873, the house was demolished in 1899; the site is now in Mount Zion Jewish Cemetery.
