Description: Grand Army of the Republic, George Huntsman Post, No. 50 Records consists of both bound volumes and loose papers. There are no substantial amounts of records of any series involved, and therefore, all records have been arranged into two series according to their physical characteristics of Bound Volumes and Loose Papers. The latter series contains several sub series. The majority of items are dated ca. 1880-1915, with a very few dated somewhat earlier or later. The Post probably disbanded in the late 1920s. A few items (such as the Political Poster and the Art Student League, especially the latter) appear extraneous to the collection.
