Description: Middle Village M.E. Church - (aka Middle Village Methodist Church, aka The Methodist Episcopal Church of Newton) North side of Metropolitan Ave. near 75th St. First organized in 1768, the congregation moved here from Dry Harbor Road in 1836. The building in this photograph burned down in January 1926. [Original QPL print missing, copy of print stamped "Historical Survey of Long Island - Collection of Vincent F. Seyfried."]
